Good morning!
I’m so sorry! I realized just this morning that I posted my blog for yesterday to my other page again. I thought that I had double checked before it was posted but noticed it wasn’t here this morning. I put it over to this blog today so there will be two posts for today.
You can pick and choose which one you would like to do. Yesterday was just a fun book and some fun things to do. So sorry again! I will be extra careful to see where I am posting from now on.
Also don’t forget to check out the other pages on the main menu. There are lots of resources that I am posting on those pages. The chapters from Magic Tree House are on there if your child wants to hear the book.
Here is the video for today:
- Fundations: Practice printing the 5 letters. Print upper and lowercase
- Listen to the story: The Seed (in the video)
- Play Game: Hide Easter eggs in the house with letters inside. Then go and find the eggs and see what letter is inside. Draw a picture of something that begins with that letter. You could also put our trick words inside the eggs then hide, find and write those too. Easter egg Hunt List
- Math: Play counting on to 10 Count On Race
- Art: Make some flowers Circle Flowers (more challenging) Paper Flowers (easier)
- Science: Plant a seed in a bag Seed in a Bag Experiment
- Video: watch a video on growing seeds Quick Growing Seed. How a Seed Grows
Enjoy!

Hi everyone! I hope your first week of online learning went well. I love seeing all the thing the children have been doing. All the families are doing such a great job! All the children have smiling faces and look like they are enjoying family time. My family is also enjoying the family time. Our regular life is so face paced, running from rink to rink, place to place, that this down time is so different for us!!
We are coming up to a long weekend to celebrate Easter if you do in your family. I will be back on Tuesday with some new activities to do. I did hear that The Easter Bunny is considered essential today so that is good news for those families he visits!
The Public Schools Branch is offering families a basic school supply package including paper, pencils, and scribblers for any student or parent who may not have access to these materials at this time. Families are asked to contact the Support for Families line at 902-368-5155 or supportforfamilies@edu.pe.ca for further information and assistance.

Hello Parents!
I love all the pictures and stories that I am seeing and hearing from everyone! Getting a glimpse at the children’s faces is so nice but makes me miss them all the more. Today’s videos were a little hard to get, our house seemed to be noisier than usual today…must be the full moon!! So don’t mind some of the noise you might hear…3 kids and 3 dogs can sometimes be noisy!
I am also trying very hard to remember to add all the resources and videos I talk about so please let me know if I’ve missed anything or if there is something more you’d like to see 🙂
Here is my video:
- Fundations Letters: Practice printing the upper and lower case letters of the 5 letters we reviewed today.
- Listen to my story: If You Find a Rock
- Write about finding your favourite Rock (see the sheet on extras page or use your own paper) RockWritingPaper
- Listen to the song: Something in my Shoe or this one Something in my Shoe – Raffi I loved this song when I was a girl 🙂
- Rock and Roll Math: Collect 10 rocks, roll a dice and build a set with the number you rolled. Online Dice
- Read a book: Raz-Kids, Epic Books, or TumbleBooks

Good morning!
Here is our learning from home activities! I just want to remind you all to not add stress to your life by trying to accomplish more than you can handle 🙂 Last night, I added a great article that shows 16 everyday activities that count as learning. Things like baking, folding laundry, playing board games and cards. They cover outcomes that we do at school.
Here is my video for today:
- Practice 5 letters of Fundations: Practice printing the uppercase and the lowercase of all 5 letters. (See video on Fundations page on the menu)
- Read the Poem: It’s Spring. Find the rhyming words. Can you think of other words that rhyme?
- Down By the Bay song: Down By the Bay
- Draw 4 things from the poem or something you see or find in spring and write the words for them. If you want to, write a sentence to go with your picture 🙂
- Listen to the Spring movement song: Spring Movement Song
- Talk a rock walk. Find 10 rocks. Sort them by the way they are alike. Tell someone how you sorted them. Ask them if they would sort them different?
- Paint your rocks. Use the rocks that you gathered and paint them. Take another walk and leave the rocks for others to find. (See recipe page for homemade paint)
- Read a book! Try Raz-Kids-kids, Epic Books, or Tumble Books or one from home.
- Spring Video: Stella and Sam: Signs of Spring
Enjoy! Mrs. Aiken

Hey Everyone! I hope you found the learning for today!
I have been posting additional resources in the menu pages each day. I just put the first chapter of book 6 under the Magic Treehouse Page. If you can’t find something please let me know.
I have added the recipes and new drawing club under their specific pages. I figure it will be easier to find the link if you want to refer back to them later.
